Cake Monster – What has it got in it’s pocketses?

Anyone that knows anything about Cake Monster, knows that there are always magical, beautiful and rare things, hidden deep within the team’s seemingly bottomless pocketses.
Unsurprisingly, wondering what they are is a relentlessly powerful, all consuming preoccupation for many. The team’s white hot forge, disgorges economic innovation with astounding frequency. We swears it. On, on The Precious!
I realize I’m making a bit of a pancake of my analogies here. The Precious, or One Ring is really bad news after all. I mean, who wants to turn into Gollum? The god dam market volatility and institutional Stonk covering has most of us on the turn already, without the need for an irresistibly evil ring, containing the will of a powerfully malevolent, eternal spirit. I certainly don’t know anyone as resilient as Frodo Baggins.
Most people I know, and I include myself, are most likely twenty-minute-Gollums. Put on the One Ring, taste the power for twenty minutes and done. Give it to us raw and wriggling. Twisted body, big eyes, loose, grey skin and an uncontrollable mania for The Precious. So why compare the economically wondrous innovations of Cake Monster with The One Ring?
One multi-asset Vault to rule them all,

And to the Monster protocol bind them.
Basically, the protocol is The Precious and it is not hidden in pocketses or in the roots of mountains. It sits radiantly out in the light for all to see. This is not a creature of Shadow. It is as much a part of the core developer, BitByTheByte, as he is of it. Forged in the fires of Mount Hope.
A master dev with integrity is never late, nor are they early. They arrive precisely when they mean to.
The Precious influences everyone it touches. They wants it. They needs it. Luckily for the world, the protocol and Bit are like the anti-precious, incredibly compelling, but in a wholesome way, forged within the fires of great moral and economic integrity.
This protocol will all assets devour;
SOL, LUNA, delicate flowers;
Gnaws BNB, bites CAKE;
Grinds hard BTC to flake;
Slays king DOGE, ruins SHIB,
And beats ETH down deep.
The Precious will eat any asset that comes near it and is unlikely ever to stop now it’s power has been unleashed. Unmaking this honourable beast now seems inconceivable. The Precious will never be taken from us by anything nasty, which would naturally make us hate them forever. The team will ensure this by passing ultimate control and custodianship over to us, forever! This will be achieved by launching a Monster DAO.
If The Protocol is The Precious, then the other glorious and magical innovations are the other Rings of Power. Magical, beautifully crafted and incredibly potent in their own right, yet irresistibly linked to The Precious.
There are other forces at work, besides that of evil. Dr Mantis was meant to begin the innovation, in which case Bit was meant to continue it.
Most of the inhabitants of this world are facing total economic destruction via inflation and are already experiencing terrible, nasty outlier effects. I expect most wish this need not have happened in their time, as do all who live to see such times. But that is not for us to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
What do we do with our time, in this moment? We build and focus our attention upon moral systems. We educate and inspire. We embrace inclusive visions of abundance and opportunity for all and we see them through, no matter what.
What’s it got in its pocketses? The first true seed of DeFi. DeFi potential turned up to 11. Perhaps the last DeFi we’ll ever need. It is….precious to me. It is precious to many and could be precious to all.
